Last week, 27 – 30 November, the Janssen R&D Global Project Management Organization was meeting in Jersey City for their global ONE Team meeting. This is a meeting to connect and learn together with Project Management colleagues from all over the world. Sikiliza Leo was chosen as the charity project to celebrate our friendship with all citizens of this world and to give back to the ones in need. Sikiliza Leo was introduced to an audience of 350 Project Managers with a short presentation on who we are and what we focus on, and then we all watched the “Flying Doctors visiting Tororo” short movie. Everybody was moved and enthusiast about our work in Africa. We assembled and filled a school backpack for all the Sikiliza Leo school children, with school and other useful items, selected in agreement with our local staff in Uganda.
Thanks goes to the PM Organization of Janssen R&D, and especially to Mary Alexander (see her in the picture), the Queen of Charity that reached out to us for this opportunity.
Now we are looking out to the happy smiles of the children when they receive this early Christmas surprise package.
